LOS ANGELES -- Erik Estrada has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Estrada, best known for playing California Highway Patrol Officer Frank "Ponch" Poncherello in "CHiPs" was accompanied by family members, comedian Paul Rodriguez and highway patrol officials during a Thursday afternoon ceremony.
The 58-year-old said his appearance on "CHiPs" satisfied two of his dreams. "One, of course, a certain amount of success in the entertainment business, for which I really am extremely grateful and I'm very proud," Estrada said. "But equally important, it represents my childhood dream of becoming a police officer."

ten years ago, i lived in a house in the Valley with an American Indian character actor, a pitbull, a killer spider, and a flying squirrel. one morning, i walked downstairs and Larry Wilcox (Officer Jon Baker, CHiPs) was in our living room.
that is the entire story. thank you for your time. farewell.

it's about time the ponch got some credit. seeing him now, advertising lake shasta vacations (if I remember correctly it wasn't if lake shasta it was lake shastina), pulls on my heart strings. we've let you down ponch, and now is your time of glory.
It wasn't Magua from Last of the Mohicans, was it Matt? Love that guy.
